Building the Village
Village Kidz is a Type III Center with a hand selected team of dedicated childcare professionals focused on inspiring learning through child-directed play experiences and an evidenced based curriculum. Through balancing play and early learning experiences, children’s growth and development is enhanced in all areas - social, emotional, creatively, spiritually, and physically. Our objective is to be a safe extension of your family while developing active minds, healthy bodies, and happy children.
Village Kidz was created in 2020 by Founder, Dr. Nikki C Honore, Family Nurse Practitioner. The original intent was to create a space that provided a safe, convenient childcare solution to accommodate families working in industries with extended hours that span beyond the traditional 9-5. Like most working families, traditional daycare centers hours did not always work for Dr. Honore’s family. Missing work was not an option. Because of the struggles of our founder, the Village was created. Village Kidz Early Learning Center and WIC Clinic opened its Midcity location in 2022. In 2024, Village Health was opened to provide pediatric wellness, sick child, and family health services.

Health & Safety are our top priority. Every Village team member is trained in Pediatric CPR & First Aid and participates in annual health & Safety training.
Smaller learning environments are designed to foster and nurture strong bonds between your child, their teachers, and friends.
Our highly trained staff and certified lead teachers create lesson plans tailored to each child’s development and make weekly themed lesson plans using the creative curriculum.
Healthy Lifestyle Activities like our Village community garden and family-style dining are designed to provide opportunities for social development and to build healthy eating habits.
